Sunshine Please!

The less sunshine we have, the more I realize how much the weather affects me. When the sun is out I feel fresh, somewhat energetic, and happy! When it's overcast and cloudy and rainy like it has been pretty much since October-ish (minus a few random days), I am tired and generally just grouchy, sad, or any of those negative emotions. Take your pick. So yesterday when it was cloudy once again (and even snowed on the first day of spring!) I decided I was going to brighten up my own day and create something sunny and bright. This is my tribute to the sun card! Haha.

I used the new CTMH Footloose paper pack as there is no way I can wait until summer to get here to use it. Love it! The paper in this package includes some Creme Brulee cardstock but I didn't have any ink to match so what I ended up doing was stamping the sun in Sunset ink and then going over it with Liquid Glass. I'm not sure if you can see it in the photos but I really love the effect it gave - kind of a 3D shine - so I used it on my little flip-flops as well.

Thanks to Mojo Monday for providing the sketch for this card (shown below).

  1. The liquid glass really does make the sun rays sparkle - and the flip-flops, although you can't tell that in the photos. I love this sunny bright card!
